On Wednesday September 26, 2018, the La Cañada Math Parents hosted an information night for parents at the La Canada Public Library called “Math Fest.”
LCMP parent Sugi Sorensen gave an introductory talk about the mathematics curricula in use in the district in all grades K-12, showed the textbooks used, showed the math pathways, and described the official district math support, intervention and enrichment programs and resources that are available, before talking about outside resources such as free and paid web resources, online tutoring companies, listings of private tutors, and local tutoring centers.

Six local tutoring centers then each gave a five-minute presentation about their services and the remainder of the evening was spent with parents talking one-on-one with the centers that attended:
