Overview
There are three K–6 elementary schools within the La Cañada Unified School District (LCUSD) — La Cañada Elementary School (LCE) , Palm Crest Elementary School (PCR), and Paradise Canyon Elementary School (PCY.) All three schools are considered high performing public schools within the state of California, having been recognized as California Distinguished Schools in 2014 (LCE and PCR also received the award in 2010) and ranking in the top 1% of public elementary schools statewide†.
2025-26 LCUSD Elementary Mathematics Curriculum Adoption
In Spring of 2025, LCUSD began the process of adopting its next elementary mathematics curriculum. This process ended on June 09, 2026 when the LCUSD Governing Board agreed to dump Everyday Mathematics and adopt Math In Focus in grades K-5 as well, starting in the 2026-27 school year. 2014-16 LCUSD Elementary Math Adoption
All three elementary schools use the same math curriculum for grades K–6.
